Initial
Assessment
We welcome potential new swimmers to one of our trial sessions which are normally held on every weekday at the Al Sadd Sports Club Aquatic Centre unless otherwise communicated. After receipt of the online registration, a representative of Doha Dolphins will call the applicant to make an appointment for an assessment. The initial assessment will be carried out by one of the Clubs fully qualified teachers / coaches. The assessment will consider the ability to perform all strokes, certain distances in certain strokes and times. Following the assessment the teacher / coach decides to which squad the swimmer will be allocated. The coach will then inform the Club office who will communicate the result with the parent and applicant. The following are required to conduct an assessment and to enroll in the programme:
Equipment
It is advised that swimmers bring their own flippers and hand paddles to practices however kick boards, pull buoys are available at the pool. For hygienic reasons we do ask swimmers to wear a swim cap.
